Rita Sinha
I remember in our school, there used to be a mehendi tree (in
front of music class). I used to pluck mehendi leaves, dump them into my
tiffin box and bring them home.
We used to have a
South Indian lady helper in our house. She used to grind the mehendi leaves and apply
the paste on our (my sisters' and my) hands and obviously on her own hands in
the typical design of those days (finger caps and spots).
I think that the flavour, colour, and the typical designs of that mehendi can never be replaced by any other mehendi now.
I miss those days.
A Mehendi spot as a memory shot was hot.
ReplyDeleteNice... brevity is the soul of a memory shot!
